I'm way behind..

Live Free or Die Hard (PG-13)

I liked this movie a lot better than the first one. It was more current than the last one, not done in the 80's. I really liked the story for this movie, where Bruce Willis got caught up with Justin Long to take down an ex-CIA guy who was taking over all of the technology stuff to prove that the CIA had bad security and to rob people's money. This movie kept me on my toes and I thought it was pretty exciting. Now that I'm writing about it, I'm realizing that it was a really fun movie to watch, and Bruce Willis didn't have so many corny lines in this one. At least not that I can remember. I would totally watch this movie again.

Pitch Perfect (PG-13)

So when I first saw the previews to this movie, I thought, "That movie is gonna be super cheesy, but I really wanna see it because of that fat girl." I figured I wouldn't watch the movie until it came out on redbox because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a corny movie, and I didn't want to make my husband watch it too. Well then, my brother told me that I should really watch it because it was so good, and that he had already seen it three times in the theater, and that's saying something because we're super cheap to watch a movie in the theater even once. So one day, my friend and I were out shopping and we decided we wanted to watch a movie. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I can't really watch movies without my husband because that's just a thing of ours. So I called him while me and my friend were out and I asked him which movie I could see without him: Pitch Perfect or Twilight. And he said I couldn't watch Twilight without him!! I died laughing.
So anyway, I loved the movie. I was right, it was kind of cheesy, but the fat girl made me laugh a lot. It's kind of like "Bring it On:" I like to watch it for the performances. The last two performances in the movie are definitely my favorite, but I also like the part where she starts singing that ghetto song at the sing-off, and all the white people don't know what she's singing. Surprisingly enough, this is the first movie I liked Anna Kendrick in. I've complained a lot about her in my last few posts of her movies, but I really had no complaints in this one. Maybe I'll start liking her now. We'll see.

The Artist (PG-13)

My husband and I try to watch all the movies that are nominated for Best Picture each year, and each year we fail to do so. But we usually do end up watching the movie that won. Last year it was The Artist, so it took us awhile to finally watch it. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I don't really like old movies, and even though this movie was made in 2012, it was still old-timey. But I loved it. I loved that it was a silent film, and I loved how dramatic it got at the end. The puppy was so adorable the entire time. I wish my puppy could do tricks like he did. It was a really good movie, simple, easy to follow, and fun. The only complaint is that it was kind of long. Or at least it felt long. I don't know if it was because it was a silent film, or if I was just tired that night, but it seemed to drag on after awhile. Still good though.

Looper (R)

I've been watching a lot of Bruce Willis lately. I don't really like him, but I absolutely love Joseph Gordon-Levitt. And I thought this movie was a lot better than I expected it to be. It was really good. Basically, as you probably understood from the previews, is that Bruce Wilis is Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the future, and JGL has to basically kill himself, but he gets away. And then there's the whole reason he wanted to get away and why he's trying to save himself, and it's just a really good movie. Not as confusing as I thought it was going to be either. I mean, it's time travel, I thought I was going to get lost somewhere, but I don't think I did. It was a sad and kind of gross movie, but I would totally recommend watching it. I loved it.

Magic Mike (R)- Channing Tatum (mmm)

Posted on 10:22 by Unknown

Tooo many butts. Yeah, it's a stripper movie, what did I expect? Not so many freaken butts! Let me just say, I don't think butts are a bad thing. All butts are the same to me no matter if it's on a man or a woman. Ok, some might be hairier than others, but still, you can't really tell what gender a butt is. The only reason I'd be embarrassed if someone saw my butt is because it's so white. Anyways, the first butt in the movie was Channing's, but I still laughed when I saw it because it's funny and it was kind of unexpected. Then throughout the movie it just kept happening and honestly, I just got bored and kind of annoyed. Like, oh my gosh again?!
So the story line was pretty stupid. And kind of dark in a way. It's like a story of the stripper life style with all the drugs and girls and weird crap that goes on. So I didn't really like that. Channing's story with him and the girl was kind of lame too. I don't understand why they would even be attracted to each other. She was so boring. Basically, Channing got some guy to strip with him, and it turned out that that guy had a sister who he was living with, and then Channing started to like the sister, while the sister just let her brother go out and strip. Really weird. The only thing I loved about this movie was... can you guess it? The dancing. I watched it with my best friend and we giggled like little school girls when he came out to dance. He's such a babe. Anyway, I'd never watch this movie again. Too many butts for my liking.
